Mayur Vihar with its new name came into existence in 1981, one of the DDA flats colonies in East Delhi. In the beginning, the colony was undeveloped and lacked in many basic amenities.   • Surya Namaskaram performed on all Sunday Morning
  • Hanuman Chalisa is recited on all TuesDays

  • On Purnami Day, Abhirami Andhati recitation and Navavarna Keerthnas for Lalitaambika and Satya Narayana Pooja are performed
  • Sivananda Laharie is chanted on all Pradosha Days in the evening
  • Devi Mahatmyam / Chandi Paat / Durga Saptashati is conducted during Sharada Navarathiri
  • Thiruppugazh Bhajans are rendered on Sankatahara Chaturthi & Shukla Shashti Days
